Cardboard world dark ADV "Phoneopolis" announced. AMANITA DESIGN is the latest work that youth confronts a dictator alone

Developer Amanita Design released the adventure game " Phoneopolis " on May 18. Under development for multi -platforms, the PC (Steam) version has been confirmed. The delivery time is undecided.

Phoneopolis is an adventure game that deals with social themes that lead to real world, such as information manipulation and individualism. The protagonist is a young man named Felix. Citizens in the world of this work are exposed to an imminent threat, which loses humanity by authoritative dictators. Felix, who has a thoughtful personality, is the only person who feels the threat among citizens.

The dictator is trying to build a perfectly happy society. He may have had a good idea. However, what we actually did was developed a huge speaker that issued a subminal effect, which is going to drive the citizens to such ideals. As people stop thinking and become an artificially created society, Felix acts to stop the dictator's business.

The game play of this work has not yet been revealed, but he is developing a fun and pleasant game experience while handling the heavy themes mentioned above. Players operate Felix to go around the city and challenge a variety of puzzles. In the screenshot, there is a scene where he is inside the huge speaker system, and you can see something that looks like a record -like operation board next to it. In another scene, he infiltrates the facilities where facilities like tower exist. He seems to be producing a meal, but this tower may also be a puzzle.

Amanita Design, the developer of this work, is a studio that has worked on popular works such as "Macharium", "Samorost" and "Bota Nicura". Known for a different style for each work, "Phoneopolis" uses 3D graphics for the first time in the studio. It seems that unique visuals are expressed using real cardboard. In addition, in the past work, fictitious languages that do not understand meaning have been used consistently, but in this work, a narrator will introduce a method to convey the story. For the studio, it seems to be a new challenge in various aspects.

"Phoneopolis" is being developed for multi -platforms such as PC (Steam). Specific models other than the PC version have not been announced. And the distribution time is undecided. The developer Amanita Design is likely to be released in 2023, and it is likely to be released a little earlier.
