One of the controversies that was born in the world of movies a few months ago was Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey, a project that will give a terror turn to the world we know about the nice adventures of the yellow bear. This is mainly due to the fact that the franchise has become a public domain, which is why anyone can use it.
During an interview with Variety , the director of the film, Rhys Frake-Waterfield, spoke about the plot of the next horror adaptation. This presents to Pooh and Piglet As the main villains… making a uproar after Christopher Robin l os os to go to college, it should be clarified, who are characters with human appearance.
Here the director's comment:
Christopher Robin is set out from them, and he has not given them food, he has made Pooh and Piglet's life quite difficult. Because they have had to fend so much for themselves, they have essentially become wild. Then, they have returned to their animal roots. They are no longer meek: they are like a vicious bear and pig that want to go around and try to find dams.
When you try to make a movie like this, and it is a really crazy concept, it is very easy to follow a route that nothing is scary and is really ridiculous and really stupid. And we wanted to go between the two.
The director revealed that other characters, such as Tigger , would not appear in the film. These are copyright: Tigger , among others, are still protected. Eeyore could be in the movie, but it turns out that we will simply see the donkey's tombstone, since his old friends ate it, a fact that demonstrates the wild nature of the characters.
In addition, they ensure that there will be no similarities with the productions of Disney , since certain features are of the company's property:
We have tried to be extremely careful. We knew there was a line between that, and what their copyright and what they had done were. So, we did everything we could to make sure that the movie was only based on the 1926 version. That is why Pooh wears a lumberjack suit while Piglet is dressed in black.
For now, there is no premiere date for Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey.
