Overwatch, which officially announced the free play of new PVP contents last weekend, further guided the details related to Overwatch 2.

The Overwatch Development Team announced the return of by presenting content roadmap and two first public cinematics at the 'Overwatch 2' public Live Stream.

Overwatch 2 will be released as a live game that can be played free of charge on October 5 (Korea time). The regular season updates and battle passes will continue to provide new contents such as new heroes, game modes, battlefields, and decorating items. As Overwatch 2 will be played as a free game, anyone can easily access the game and enjoy it with friends or find anyone to play online. By sharing crossplay and progress between platforms, you can continue to play regardless of the platform, accumulate records, and enjoy unlocked content.

In Overwatch 2, items can be obtained directly from the Battle Pass, or in a new game store that is continuously updated. The development team will showcase new season contents every nine weeks and will always provide a new experience.

Roadmap and Season

In Season 1, new support heroes, which have not yet been released in addition to Sojeon and Jungker Queen, will appear at the same time. At the same time, the new competition experience will be introduced through Season 1 with hero rework, new battlefields and modes. As the new five-to-five multiplayer method is shifted, each player's influence is increased in the game, and a system that identifies the contributions by game is also added.

In addition to new assault heroes and battlefields, various skins, including Xinhua skin, will be released. In 2023, a new PVE game play will be presented and the story of Overwatch will continue.
