Dungeons & Dragons will launch Dragonlance Adventure at the end of this year

Calaboons and dragons will launch an adventure set on the stage of the Dragoncence campaign at the end of this year. Wizards of the Coast revealed that they will launch Dragoncence: the shadow of the Queen Dragon at the end of 2022. No other details were announced on the next book, although a brief advance indicated that the campaign approach seemed to be in the War of La Lance. In addition, Wizards of the Coast is launching a "battle game" called Dragonlance: Krynn warriors, _ that seems to be a board game of some kind. It is not clear if the _Dragonlance adventure will replace the start of autumn adventures typical of Wizards, or if this adventure will be launched in addition to a different D & D adventure also released this fall.

The stage of the Dragonlance campaign is one of calaboons and dragons' oldest scenarios and was popularized by a series of fantasy novels written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. The stage focuses on the fight against Takhisis, the Dragon Queen mentioned in the title of the adventure, which is an evil dragon goddess responsible for corrupting chromatic dragons and that regularly tries to seize the world using the armies of it. More than 100 Dragonlance novels have been published, as well as numerous _calaboons and dragons, adventures set in that world.

Dragonlance is returning in multiple ways. In addition to the new adventure and board game by D & D, Penguin Random House is also publishing the first of a trilogy of new Dragonlance Novels of Weis and Hickman who intend to close the series. That novel - Dragonlance: Dragons of deception - will be launched in August.
