Unfortunately, part of the community of players is quite toxic. Offensive comments have become part of many people's day. However, this does not mean that such kind of behavior is accepted. One of the people who are against these attitudes is Seamus Blackly, creator of the firebox, who recently exploded against the toxic community.
Recently, Grenade Queen, a streamer, shared a video where you can clearly listen to a pair of players verbally attack the girl. Seeing this clip on Twitter, Blackly lamented the attitude that the Xbox community has taken. This was what he commented:
This is not the future that we imagine for Xbox live. As a community and with the help of Microsoft you need to become visible and stop. Teamwork will be needed between players, developers and console manufacturers to change it, and it's time. It's time.
While the comments to the video of Grenade Queen were just as regrettable, with people standardizing insults and harassment, those responsible for attacking the streamer first, emitted an apology for their actions. At the moment it is unknown if this decision was a consequence of the care they won after attacking the girl, or if it is a genuine apology.
On related topics, Xbox has shared an emotional video to celebrate the support of its community over 20 years.
Editor's note:
It is unfortunate that this type of behaviors are still carried out. On multiple occasions it has been clear that these comments are not accepted, but many people have pointed out that this is part of the community, which is even sadder to listen.
